At the end of a frustrating audition session, Tomás, a theatre director, lost all hope of finding his play’s female lead. He is getting ready to head home when suddenly another actress enters the room. Although terribly late, she still wants to audition for the part. Her name is Vanda – the protagonist’s name. Is she different from all the others who tried before?
With its essence rooted in Leopold von Sacher-Masoch’s sensual universe, this is a troubling play, in which we constantly ask ourselves what is real and what is deceitful.
Is it possible to recognize the face of power in the theatre, land of all the masks? Who seduces? Who resists? And what happens when our deepest wish comes to life?
Quem seduz? Quem resiste?
