UM DIA UMA VIDA (A DAY A LIFE) is a cantata-play about the passage of time and how man tries to stop that flow and give meaning to his days.
The Man does not sleep, he will never sleep again, he observes the sea and the village that the sun slowly illuminates.
The Woman looks at herself in the mirror and is bitter about the wrinkles and the children she didn’t have.
The Young Woman wants to conquer the world she sees on screen and through the screen she tells the world who she is.
The Fisherman earns the living he has after pulling the nets and that’s all he needs.
The voice of the poet Ruy Belo is transformed into the voices of four characters who show us each face transfiguring throughout the day, as life goes by.

UM DIA UMA VIDA é uma peça-cantata sobre a passagem do tempo e como o Homem tenta deter essa passagem e dar sentido aos seus dias.
O Homem não dorme, não vai dormir nunca mais, observa o mar e a aldeia que o sol ilumina lentamente.
A Mulher vê-se ao espelho e amargura-se com as rugas e os filhos que não teve.
A Jovem quer conquistar o mundo que vê pelo ecrã e através do ecrã diz ao mundo quem é.
O Pescador ganha a vida que fica depois de puxar as redes e isso é tudo o que precisa.
A voz do poeta Ruy Belo transforma-se nas vozes de quatro personagens que nos mostram cada rosto transfigurando-se ao longo do dia, ao correr da vida.
